Finders Keepers
Theatre and Exhibition Design, Livesey Museum, London

Working with a theatre company, theatre-rites, and visual artist Sophia Clist with a small budget to create a performance and exhibition space in the Livesey Museum for Children in London.

We designed a series of spaces for a three week promenade theatre show based on finding and collecting, followed by a six month interactive exhibition which would run independent of the actors.

The project was designed for three to six year olds and their parents and was conceived as a hands-on dynamic environment embracing the Victorian architecture of the museum. The environment created used puppets, lighting and sound to create a magical world calling out to be explored.

In the main space we created a series of plaster walls with embedded objects and imprints to provide a multi-sensory narrative. We installed a fibreglass pendulum which swung to and fro animating the space.

Visitors entered an enclosed space with a moveable wall that opened up to reveal the main space behind.
